When I stumble upon something beautiful or a production that was inspired, I have to share it.
As you know I watch a lot of videos from Jared Polin, AKA the Fro from www.FroKnowsPhotos.com. Jared and Stephen Eckert host a weekly video/podcast about photography that they call RAW Talk. It is great. They always discuss the latest photo news, gear reviews and general discussions about photography. They are two dudes, so be warned their comments are not always appropriate or family friendly, but in general it is an outstanding production.
In this weeks photo news, they referenced a story about a video, Afterglow, released this week made in Alaska at night. It is skiers doing their thing at night. This video is STUNNING. The Mo I watch it, the Mo I am in awe at the work involved in this production. It is a visually stunning moving and the time, money, coordination and effort that went into this production will leave you speechless.
When something like this comes along it is important to me that it be shared. The work this team put into this film should be shared. They should be recognized for the beauty they have created. It should be shared and viewed as much as possible. That is my rule, when you find something outstanding, share it…
I have posted the video below, be sure to watch it and share it. You won’t regret it.

Presented by Philips TV and Atomic Skis
Featuring: Pep Fujas, Eric Hjorleifson, Daron Rahlves, and Chris Benchetler
From the depth of the creative visuals to the groundbreaking, never-been-done-before scale of the shoot, Afterglow is being hailed as one of the most cinematically profound ski movies ever made. Deep pillows and Alaskan spines, all filmed at night, with massive lights, custom made LED suits, and a national governments worth of logistics, planning, and civil engineering.
Filmed as a partnership between Sweetgrass Productions, Philips TV, and the Swedish Agency Ahlstrand & Wållgren, it’s two parts creativity, one part branded content, and a pinch of masochism for good measure. Overall, it’s an incredibly unique partnership between our vision of skiing and the color and light technology behind the Philips Ambilight TV.
