This is Jena S.
Say ‘Hi’ Jena. She is an amazing young woman that killed it during our session!
It was very, very cold the day we shot. The wind was blowing like crazy and she handled it all with poise and style. A true professional. I was wearing two coats, gloves, a winter hat (tuke, for my northern friends) and I was still cold. I don’t think I could have put on Mo clothes. Even with the challenges of the cold, Jena did awesome! I thought she would quit after an hour, but she hung tough for the entire shoot! Well done Jena, well done!
I was very impressed with her persistence, style and her ability to take direction. Keep it up Ms Jena. I love working with clients and I can see the progression of the shoot in the images. I can go picture by picture and see each client get Mo comfortable. I can see when they remove the barriers of nerves, uneasiness and discomfort and find the ‘Mo’ zone. When in the zone, these pictures are freaking awesome!!!
When watching the video, pay close attention to the shots in the country outfit. Jena becomes comfortable and reluctantly releases her thoughts on what ‘looks’ she likes to pose. She stated in our pre-shoot meeting that she didn’t like pictures where she looked straight into the camera, they made her face look fat. Baloney! You are crazy! 😉 I told her I would challenge her on the notion. I did, and I think she is glad I did as well.
As you view the pictures you can see the progression of the session. You can see when I get her into the right pose looking straight into the lens, it happens….POW! She goes from young lady to WOMAN. In a single moment, single pose, it all changed. Look at the very first picture in the video. BAM! The pictures are so good when she nails the pose. She is very comfortable in front of the camera, but when she does it right, there is a noticeable difference. Now, Jena is working to hold the look that counts for longer than a few seconds… :). Right Jena? I hope I have the opportunity to shoot Mo Photos with Jena again soon. Jena Rocks!
These pictures were taken on the 7th Street Bridge and at Trinity Park in Ft Worth. This location is really beginning to grow on me. There are some very cool spots to shoot. Question for everyone – What are some of your favorite spots to shoot in the DFW area?
